Mikaela is one of those rare gems. The ones where their natural talent leaves you a little speechless. 

Mikaela made us all feel calm, comfortable and where there could have been awkwardness, there was only fun. She was warm, so incredibly welcoming and gave the most subtle but impactful instruction throughout our shoot. She captured the essence of our relationship. She gave instruction where needed but really, she just allowed us to be and she captured us in the most natural of elements, our puppy running through the field, us laughing and playing.

The brief was simple, we wanted candid shots that showed our individuality as well as who we are as a couple. Mikaela did more than delivered - She blew us away with her images. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not having Mikaela capture you and your partner. Her natural warmth and raw talent is a recipe for beauty and our pictures speak for themselves.

We absolutely loved being photographed by Mikaela! We were so nervous to get a couples shoot however Mikaela was able to make us feel so comfortable.

Karl and I felt totally comfortable and Mikaela was so at ease with everything going on. There were dogs on the loose, the wind was crazy and it got dark quickly but she managed to help us feel calm and relaxed, and captured us perfectly with all the feels in our photos. We are so in love with them! 

Mikaela was so easy to contact and communicate with. From the moment we booked our shoot right through until delivery of our pictures, it was seamless! 

My partner and I are generally quite shy in front of the camera and we usually feel quite awkward posing or being directed during photos. Needless to say we were apprehensive going into the shoot. However, as soon as Mikaela got her camera out and started talking us through the session we felt instantly comfortable! Her bubbly and kind energy made it very easy for us to be in front of the camera. We spent a lot of time laughing and joking around which allowed us to be more relaxed and pose in a way that felt suited to us. We played music, walked about the setting and ended up having a great afternoon. Mikaela spent time getting to know what we wanted out of the shoot and also showed us some ideas that she had in mind for us. It was a very relaxed, collaborative and fun experience. We would absolutely love to work with Mikaela again- I can't recommend her enough!
